Creative Non-profit for Special Adults
Proud to be a 501 (c) (3) in our community.
Silver & Seeds provides meaningful and creative job opportunities for adults with disabilities. Valued employees are given opportunities to work with a variety of different textures to create objects of art.
Silver & Seeds was created out of necessity.
We saw an unfilled need; the framework to provide gainful, meaningful, and creative employment for adults with disabilities. As parents of adult autistic twin boys, we fully understand the importance of being given the opportunity to work.
Work opportunities include studio work, selling at craft fairs, packaging, inventory tracking and good old fashioned fun.
Our newest employees enter Silver and Seeds at the Apprentice Level. Each employee is given time to explore what designs they are interested in crafting.
Employees are guided in their work using appropriate and differentiated teaching: Hand over hand, illustrated step-by-step, written instructions, video modeling, and verbal cues.
Beautiful hand cast garden decor can be left outside year round or used inside. Live moss and sedums add to the charm.
Local gardeners provide seeds for packaging. Packets can be customized for a variety of events.
Planting Directions: Perennial seeds can be cast in a sunny garden area up until the first frost in the fall and the last frost of the spring. No special care necessary as these seeds are a hardy blend.
These small delicate planters are sturdy enough to be kept outside but delicate enought for indoor decor. They can be filled with live green moss or succulents.
